A HUGE improvement on book #1, bravo Ms. Fields for that. Still a few errors though.

I didn't feel a big connection to the characters and I thought the brothers were pretty immature. The conflicts were pretty standard too... step-mom, ex-girlfriend, jealously over misunderstood relationships with members of the opposite sex, working class family making it in business. Nothing really new to speak of.

I know Jase will appeal to a lot of readers.. tattoed, pierced hottie in love with the shy virgin; you really can't go wrong with that, but its been done before, and it's been done better.
